What changed

The India–Oman CEPA took effect on 1 June 2026. It gives immediate duty-free access for all 945 textile and apparel tariff lines and includes temporary-entry commitments, including for intra-corporate transferees.

Who it affects

Textile and apparel exporters, and groups moving staff between Oman and India.

What to do

Check tariff lines and origin rules for your products, and review whether the temporary-entry provisions help intra-group transfers. Groups operating from the Gulf should also compare the Oman terms with the UAE CEPA, which has been in operation since it was signed in 2022.
